All the necessary information for visa application is available on this website. Please read well “Important Notes” and all the requirements below carefully before your contacting the Embassy. 
 

【Important Notes】

 Hours for Application:  9:00 - 11:00 AM
 (During Ramadan : 9:30 - 11:00 AM)		  Hours for Pick-Up:    2:00 - 03:30 PM
 (During Ramadan : 12:30 - 2:30 PM)
 Closed on Fridays, Saturdays and the Embassy’s Designated Holidays.

  *Please call us in our opening days. You can get through relatively easily between 1:00PM to 4:00PM.
 
●APPLICANTS FOR ORDINARY VISAS MUST APPLY IN PERSON. We cannot accept application by an authorized person.

●APPLICANTS FOR THE ORDINARY VISAS ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT via email or telephone to submit the required documents for application.We can no longer attend applicants without appointments.

●Please be reminded that the applicants may be requested to attend for an interview on a day designated by the Embassy.
 
●The visa procedure for ordinary visas takes at minimum 5 working days after all the documents are submitted. The period for the procedure may vary case by case and/or if the procedure coincides with official holidays in Japan and/or during high seasons.

●Jordanian nationals are eligible to receive the visas free of charge. Visa handling fee for Syrian and Yemeni nationals is JD15.00 and JD4.00 for Indian nationals. For other nationals, please ask us upon application.
 
●The required certificates and letters must be in original, valid and issued within the last three months from the date of submission (*while documents prepared in Japan can be accepted in copy as well.). The Embassy may request the applicants to submit the originals.  
 
●The submitted documents except for passports, IDs and some particular certificates will not be returned. The passport will be kept at the embassy during the visa processing period. Also, applicants may be required to submit additional documents.
 
●Visa application could be rejected if it did not meet the Criteria of Visa Issuance (MOFA Website). You will be able to apply for the same type of visa after six months from the rejection.
 

【Visa Categories】 

1. Ordinary Visa : for Short -term Stay (Single Entry)
 (Note 1)The requirements below are generally applicable to Jordanian, Syrian and Yemeni nationals. We issue single or double entry visas to Jordanian, Syrian, Yemeni, Iraqi and Egyptian nationals. We will be able to issue the double entry visa if the applicant meets the requirements.
 (Note 2) No visa is required for ordinary passport holders of Regions and Countries of Visa exemption (MOFA Website). For the requirements for other nationals, please ask the Embassy.

2. Ordinary Visa : for Work or Long-term Stay(Single Entry) (for Holders of Certificate of Eligibility)
For applying for a visa for the purpose of employment or residence more than 90 day in Japan, the authorized person in Japan should obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) in advance. The visa applicants can apply for the visa together with the original COEs or its copy at the Embassy. The COEs are issued by Immigration Service Agency of Japan via email or in paper upon the requests of the applicants.

【Period of Procedure】

【Fees】

Jordanian nationals are eligible to receive the visas free of charge.
JD15.00 for Syrian and Yemeni nationals and JD4.00 for Indian nationals.
For other nationals, please see Visa Fees or inquire with the Embassy upon application.
