Temporary visit (Visiting Relatives / Acquaintances)

- All documents should be submitted in English or Japanese. If the original document is written in Arabic, you must attach an English translation. We will not accept your visa application if all the documents are not complete. 

- Please read “Important Notes” before submitting your visa application. 
 
● Documents required from the Visa Applicant:
 
1. Application form  
  • Should be printed on two separate pages and then signed by a pen.
  • Electronic signatures are NOT accepted.
  • Computer-typed or handwritten forms are accepted.
  • To fill the application form, check this Sample
2. Valid passport  
  • Should be valid for the period of stay in Japan and have at least two facing unused pages for the visa.
  • A copy of the page of the personal data should be submitted.
3. Personal photo  
  • Passport-size photo taken within the last six months.
4. Flight / cruise reservation  
  • Tentative reservation.
  • Should indicate the arrival/departure date and airports to/from Japan.
  • Arrival and departure date must match the “Itinerary in Japan”.
5. Bank statement for the latest 3 months  
  • Should be original: signed and stamped from the bank.
  • Online bank statements will be accepted ONLY if the bank is outside Jordan.
  • Should show transactions and have enough balance to cover the expenses during the period of stay in Japan.
  • Should be issued no more than 2 weeks before the application date.
  • (* No need to submit this if the inviter in Japan is going to pay for the    travel expenses).
  • If one of your family members in Jordan pays your travel expenses, please submit the following:
          - A bank statement for the latest 3 months under his/her name.
 
          - An original signed letter written by him/her explaining the relationship to the applicant and the intention to pay for the travel expenses.
 
          - Documents proving the relationship to the applicant (ex. birth certificate, marriage certificate, family book).
6. Document/s to prove kinship  
  • (* Only for visiting relatives).
  • Birth Certificate or Marriage Certificate or Family Book.
7. Document/s to prove friendship  
  • (* Only for visiting acquaintances).
  • Photos, letters, e-mails, phone call log, screenshots of chats.
8. Document proving legal stay in Jordan

For non-Jordanian nationals except nationals of Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Colombia.
 
  • Residence permit or work permit.



● Prepared by the Inviter in Japan:
 
1. Invitation Letter  
  •  The attached template should be used.
2. Japanese Family Register “Koseki-tohon”  
  • (* Only for visiting relatives, when the inviter or his/her spouse is Japanese).
  • Copies are accepted.
3. List of Visa Applicants  
  • (* Only if there are multiple applicants).
  • The attached template should be used.
4. Itinerary in Japan  
  • The attached template should be used.
  • To fill the itinerary, check this Sample.
  • Under “Date”, specify the date and airport of arrival in the first row. Specify the date and airport of departure in the last row. As for the remaining rows in between, specify the consecutive dates (day by day).
  • Under “Activity Plan”, specify the names of the areas you plan to visit for each day. If an activity continues on consecutive days, the format “(date) - (date)” under “Date” will be acceptable.
  • Under “Contact”, specify the telephone number of place of residence (inviter).
  • Under “Accommodation”, specify the address of place of residence.
5. Copy of both sides of the valid Residence Card  
  • (* Only if the inviting person is a foreign national).


 
● Prepared by the Inviter (Guarantor) in Japan if he/she covers the travel expenses of the applicant:
 
1. Guarantee Letter  
  • The attached template should be used.

2. Proof of funds of the guarantor, all the following documents: 

 
 (A) The latest Certificate of Income / Taxation issued by the head of administration of the place of residence, or a certificate of Tax Payment
     (Form 2) issued by the director of the tax office.
   - (Note1) Each certificate should indicate the gross income for the previous year.
   - (Note2) Statement of Tax Withholding is not acceptable.
 
 (B) An original/copy of certificates of deposit balance or bank statement that covers the latest 3 months.
3. Certificate of Residence "Juminhyo"  
  • Copies are accepted.
  • With description of family relationship with all family members if there are any family members living with the guarantor.
