The tourism sector is one of the most important sectors in Jordan in terms of being a large source of foreign currency earnings. And it is an effective means to utilize abundant tourist attractions for social economic development. Japan has supported the activities of the human resource development, maintenance of tourism related institutions, protection of antiquities, etc.

Japan has supported various tourism development projects as follows;
- Amman Down Town Tourist Zone
- Historic Old Salt Development
- Dead Sea Parkway (picture taken in March 2007)
- Dead Sea Panoramic Complex (picture taken in March 2007)
- National Museum in Amman
- Karak Tourism Development
- Raghadan Bus Terminal
- These projects contribute to the development and conservation of the tourism attractions in Jordan.
