Industrial Promotion


Jordan joined the WTO in 2000 and also has concluded Free Trade Agreement with USA and EU, and aims at the diversification of the partner countries concerning exports from Jordan . Japan has supported Jordanian companies at enhancing their competitiveness at entering foreign and international markets, in order to eventually achieve economic growth and self-sustainable economy.

NAFES has been established by the allocation of “Jordan-Japan counterpart funds”, which is designed for extending subsidy to high-potential small and medium size enterprises in Jordan for having consultation from Jordanian consultant, and contributes to the management modernization of the enterprises and the strengthening of their international competitiveness.

Jordan-Japan counterpart funds: It is the reserve system which is imposed upon the Jordanian Government in Non-Project Grant Aid and Grant Aid for the increase of food production. The Jordanian Government saves proceeds which sold the goods supplied by each Grant Aid to the designated account of Central Bank.
