Call for Proposals: Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)

The Government of Japan implements various programs under its Official Development Assistance (ODA) to meet the diverse needs of developing countries. One of these ODA schemes, the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP), supports small-scale projects that directly benefit local communities and contribute to the socio-economic development of developing countries. In Jordan, GGP was launched in 1990 and as of January 2026, 161  projects have been implemented by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), municipalities, educational institutions, health institutions and other non-profit organizations. <Application Period>
From 11th January to 7th February 2026
Late submissions after the deadline will not be accepted in any case.

<Grant Amount>
Grant amount per project is 10~20 million Japanese Yen.
Roughly up to 65,000~130,000 USD /45,000~90,000 JOD, subject to exchange rate.
 
<Eligible organizations>
GGP supports the following non-profit organizations that implement socio-economic development projects at grass-roots level:

  • Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
  • Municipalities
  • Educational Institutions
  • Health Institutions
Applicants must be legally registered under relevant Jordanian authorities for at least 2 years, and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the proposed project area.
 
<Eligible Items to be Procured by GGP>
  1. Equipment
 
  1. Construction/Renovation
*It is preferred that construction and renovation be on land and infrastructure that is legally owned by your organization. If not, please provide a long term contract between your organization and the land/building owner.

<Required Documents for Application>
After thoroughly reading the Guideline, please prepare the following:
  1. Download and fill out the GGP Application Form 1.
  2. Download and fill out the GGP Application Form 2.
  3. Attach the financial audit reports of your organization for the past 2 years.
  4. Attach 3 price quotations for each item you wish to procure.
  5. Attach a copy of the registration certificate of your organization.
  6. (For construction/renovation project only)Attach a copy of the ownership certificate or a long term contract of land and building
  7. Fill in the checklist attached in Application Form 1 to confirm you have attached all necessary documents.
You must attach all the necessary documents along with your application forms.
Please note that missing items in the checklist(attached in Application Form 1) may severely impact your application and could lead to application rejection.
 
<How to Apply>
Please submit your application and all necessary documents via email(ggp.jordan@am.mofa.go.jp) by 7th February, 2026.
 
Any late submissions will be automatically rejected.
 
Any applications sent via post will be automatically rejected.
 
Email size limit must not exceed 10MB. All emails above this size limit will not be sent to our inbox. If your application is bigger than 10MB, you may send your application through a cloud link or by multiple emails while indicating the number of emails.
 
The Embassy will send a confirmation email 1 to 3 weeks after receiving your application. If you do not receive a conformation email 3 weeks after your submission date, please contact us.
