Ceremony for Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2025

 On 4 December 2025, Mr. ASARI Hideki, Ambassador of Japan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held a ceremony at the Ambassador's Residence to present the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Dr. SEITA Akihiro, Director of Health at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), for his achievements.
 The Foreign Minister’s Commendation is awarded to individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions in the international field, recognising achievements that have contributed to the promotion of friendly relations between Japan and other nations.
 Dr. Seita has devoted over 30 years to providing medical services in the Middle East. Particularly in response to the recent deterioration of the situation in Gaza, he has made numerous visits to the Gaza Strip, working tirelessly to address the humanitarian crisis including through polio vaccination campaigns.
