The Government of Japan finances the project titled “Irrigation Canals’ Construction and Maintenance”

The Government of Japan approved the utilization of JD 280,000 from the Counterpart Fund for financing the project titled “Irrigation Canals’ Construction and Maintenance ”. The project aims at increasing water use efficiency and reduce loss through rehabilitating springs’ irrigation canals.
The Counterpart Fund was established for economic and social development purposes in Jordan. The Fund’s deposits are generated and accumulated overtime from sales revenue of commodities procured by the Government of Jordan through Non-Project Grant Aid provided by the Government of Japan.
