In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Asari stated that Japan and Jordan are strategic partners, sharing common interests and responsibilities for peace and stability in the Middle East, a region with significant global impact. He emphasized Jordan's crucial and invaluable role as an "anchor of stability" in the Middle East, particularly in humanitarian assistance and refugee support. He also expressed sincere gratitude for General Al-Huneiti's outstanding leadership and full support for the evacuation missions of the Japan Self-Defense Forces conducted in 2023 and 2024 to protect Japanese nationals and others. He noted that defense cooperation between Japan and Jordan is a very important element of bilateral relations, and expressed his expectation that it will further develop in the future.
In his acceptance speech, General Al-Hnaity expressed his gratitude for receiving this prestigious award from a friendly nation like Japan. He stated that this honorable decoration truly reflects the mutual respect and deep trust that binds Japan and Jordan, underpinned by the shared determination of both countries' leaders to confront security challenges with cooperation and solidarity, and expressed his confidence that this relationship will continue to flourish.
