A Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister of Japan on Centennial of the Jordanian State
2021/4/11

I am SUGA Yoshihide, Prime Minister of Japan.
I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the State’s first Centennial.
Jordan is an important strategic partner for Japan in the Middle East region.
Japan and Jordan have close ties at all levels, including the traditionally friendly relations between the Imperial Family and the Royal Family, and share fundamental values of the international community, such as the rule of law.
We support each other under the COVID-19 pandemic, and on the economic front, our bilateral relationship has been further strengthened with the Japan-Jordan Investment Agreement which came into effect last year.
I am determined to closely work together with Jordan with a view to overcoming the current unprecedented crisis, under the pandemic of COVID-19, and to revitalizing people-to-people exchanges between our two countries.
I would like to conclude my message by wishing for the further development of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and great happiness of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the people of Jordan. Thank you.
