Job Opportunity - Clerk in the Administration section

The Embassy of Japan in Jordan is seeking to recruit a new clerk in its Administration section who would also be able to support the Embassy’s cultural and public relations activities.
Please read the following details carefully and submit your application to the Embassy by 23 March 2025. In case you submit application with printed documents, please write “Administration Section” on the envelope. If you send application via email, please use the subject line “Application for Clerk in the Administration Section”.
After document submission a written exam in English and an interview will be conducted.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 27 March 2025.
1. Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
(1) Curriculum Vitae(CV) - please use the official format
(2) Motivation Letter - A statement explaining why you are applying to work at the Embassy of Japan (maximum 500 words)
(3) Copy of Highest Education Certificate
(4) Copy of Passport/ID
(5) Criminal Record Certificate - Issued by the court
Please be noted that incomplete applications will not be accepted.
2. Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
(1) Age: Under 40 (Forty) years old at the time of application.
(2) Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft applications and the Internet.
(3) Languages: Strong proficiency in English and Classical Arabic. Strong ability to draft documents/translate/interpret between English and Arabic (Classical Arabic.) Japanese language proficiency is preferred.
(4) Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and work in harmony as a team member. A strong motivation to contribute as a bridge between Jordan and Japan.
(5) Experience: Prior experience of minimum two years in Administrative/Culture/PR related fields is preferred.
3. Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible but not exclude the followings. Embassy has the right to replace to another section, if necessary.
(1) Reception and Telephone Transfer
(2) Administrative support for the Administration Section
(3) Making Appointments for Diplomatic staff
(4) Drafting Official Documents in English and Arabic
(5) Public Relations and Cultural Support
(6) Managing the Embassy’s SNS (Website, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
