Japanese Food & Drink Reception

On 28th of February, the Embassy of Japan hosted an event to promote a variety of Japanese foods, products and drinks at the official residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Jordan. People in the food industry, government officials, Japanese companies and influencers attended the event and enjoyed authentic Japanese cuisine using Japanese products such as scallops from Hokkaido Prefecture and yellowtail fish from Ehime Prefecture, as well as Satsuma beef from Kagoshima Prefecture. In addition, Sake, Japanese whiskey, and Japanese wine were also introduced.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Okuyama expressed his hope that business relations between Jordan and Japan will be further strengthened through "food" at the time when the two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year.
