Diplomatic Bazaar (2023/10/07)



 On 7th of October, the Embassy of Japan in Jordan participated in the 59th Annual Diplomatic Bazaar at Al Hussein Youth City. This bazaar is organized by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, a charitable organization chaired by H.R.H. Princess Basma. Since its establishment in 1958, this organization has provided a safe environment for orphans and other children in need. All the proceeds from the diplomatic bazaar are donated to the organization.
 The Embassy of Japan in Jordan participates in this bazaar every year, and this year some Japanese products such as lacquered ball-point pens and plates with pure gold foil were on display. At Japan’s booth in the food corner, Makisushi, Japanese green tea and Takoyaki were sold and it helped to promote Japanese foods. In addition, a Japanese culture corner was set up to provide opportunities to experience Origami, Kendama and wearing Happi festival outfits and to distribute some brochures to introduce Japan.
 Ambassador and Mrs. Okuyama welcomed H.R.H. Princess Basma at the booth and introduced the Japanese crafts and culture.
