Japanese Government Scholarship for Undergraduate studies 2011
Points of selection | Outline | Qualifications | Application | Selection Concept | Selection Schedule | FAQThe Government of Japan has introduced scholarship for undergraduate studies for Jordan since 2004 in order to bolster further enhancement of the existing friendly ties between Japan and Jordan.
The program is designed to provide Jordanian youth with an opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree. It consists of 4 years university study and 1 year Japanese language education.
What will the scholarship cover?

Academic record | Applicants must have 90% or higher of Tawjihi for either the art or scientific stream. |
Qualifications
Nationality | Jordanian nationals only. Other nationals are requested to inquire of the Japanese embassy in their country. |
Age | Must be from 17 to 21 years of age as of the 1st of April in the year 2010 |
Academic background | Applicants must be high school graduate. (2009 graduates are also eligible) |
Academic record | Applicants must have 90% or higher of Tawjihi for either the art or scientific stream. |
English |
Applicants must have a good command of English. (An English exam is a part of the selection) ....jump to the previous exam questions |
Japanese | Japanese language proficiency is a plus, but not necessary for the selection process, However, the successful grantees must learn Japanese in Japan. |
Arrival in Japan | Applicants must be able to arrive in Japan between the 1st and the 7th April in the year the scholarship starts. |

Application
Prescribed forms: Applicants must fill in the prescribed forms given by the Embassy. The forms are revised every year and the old forms are not applicable.Download the prescribed forms for the scholarship for 2009

Completed documents:
No application will be accepted unless all documents mentioned in the Program Guideline are fully and correctly completed. Incomplete applications can not be taken into consideration.
Three sets of the documents:
Each applicant must submit three sets of the required documents. Some must be original. Please read the guideline carefully.
Typewritten:
The application should be typewritten. Please use the MS Word format.
