- His Majesty Emperor Akihito is to celebrate his 74th birthday on 23 December 2007.
- The reception was attended by Jordanian prominent people from various fields.
- Ikebana International Jordan Chapter presented an Ikebana exhibition at the reception venue on the occasion of the Birthday and receipt of the Commendation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan in 2007
