Two concerts by Hanatemari, a flute and koto (Japanese harp) duo

The Embassy of Japan in cooperation with JT International (Jordan) Limited and the Japanese Alumni Association in Amman held two concerts by Hanatemari, a duo by talented and renowned sisters, Nao Goto who plays the flute and Miki Goto who plays the Koto (a Japanese harp which resembles the Qanoun in the Arab world).

The concerts took place on Sunday 25 April at the residence of Ambassador of Japan H.E. Tetsuo Shioguchi, as part of a welcoming reception, and on Monday 26 April 2010 at    Al Hussein Cultural Center.

The duo performed a combination of traditional and western music as well as their own compositions.
