Ambassador Shioguchi signs a Grant Contract of US$ 69,457 with Circassian Charity Association Women's Branch

The Government of Japan has decided to extend a Sixty Nine thousand Four hundred Fifty Seven US Dollars (US$69,457) grant in aid to the Circassian Charity Association Woman’s Branch and an agreement to that effect was signed on Thursday, January 29, 2009 by Mr. Tetsuo Shioguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Jordan and Ms. Jeanette Mufti, president of the Circassian Charity Association Women’s Branch.
The grant will be used, with a view to creating a job opportunity through vocational training for women for purchasing necessary equipment for kitchen.
The Circassian Charity Association Woman’s Branch, patronized by Her Royal Highness Princess Alia Bint Al-Hussein, was established in 1972 as a non-profit and non-governmental organization in Jordan. It has been engaged in supporting for women.
This grant is provided within the framework of Japanese Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGP). Japan has donated more than US$ 6.7 million for 114 projects to non-governmental organizations, schools, hospitals, and local governments in Jordan for the last 15 years.
