Misako Osada

Misako was born in Japan in 1989, and began to study the piano when she was six and violin a year later. She made her first appearance as a soloist with orchestra when she was eight, after winning a prize in the Kanagawa Competition.
In April 2000 she joined the Yehudi Menuhin School, where she studied with Marcel Baudet, and began to take part in concerts organized by the school, both as a soloist and accompanist. In January 2002 she won the Japanese National Competition, which resulted in a number of solo performances. In May 2002 she travelled to Turkey with a group of pupils from the Yehudi Menuhin School, and gave two performances of Mozart's Piano Concerto K414 to packed audiences; subsequently she gave two further performances with the Menuhin School's own orchestra. In October 2003 she took part in two concerts in Tunisia, and in January 2004 she joined the other pianists from the school in a performance of Bach's 2-and 3-part Inventions at the Royal Festival Hall. Misako has also performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, Dorking Halls, and for the Chester and Bristol Music Societies. More recently, she shared the concert platform with Sir Cliff Richard at a charity concert in The Menuhin Hall.

In 2006 October she won a recital tour in the Middle East for Music in ME from the International Piano Competition for Young Musicians in Holland.

Misako now studies in Hannover Hochschule for Music and Theater with Vladimir Krainev.
