Japan invites 10 Jordanian youths to visit Japan

A Japanese delegation headed by Mr. Yoshihiko Miyahara, responsible person in Japan-Jordan youth exchange program, visited Jordan last week and discussed the further cooperation in the Japan Jordan Youth Exchange Program with Dr. Mahmoud Sarhan, Assistant Secretary General of he Higher Council for Youth. The program was commenced in 1994 in commemoration of the marriage of His Imperial Highness Crown Prince of Japan. In light of the consolidated ties between the two countries and excellent performance of the successive Jordanian delegations, Jordan is a single country which has participated in it every year since then. Mr. Miyahara praised the fruitful outcome of the Exchange Program and assured the Cabinet Office of Japan will invite ten Jordanian youths to visit Japan in this July. The Higher Council for Youth has been responsible body in Jordan to form a delegation to Japan, as well as to receive a delegation from Japan.
Mr. Miyahara organized a gathering of those who joined the program to exchange views and opinions in order to boost the follow up activities. Twenty ex-participants attend the gathering and asserted their support to the program.
