Japan - Middle East Student Conference

International Youth Development Exchange Program
(Jordanian delegation to visit Japan)
Outline The program started in 1994 to commemorate the Imperial marriage of H.I.H. the Crown Prince of Japan, which aims at deepening the mutual understanding between Japanese youth and foreign youths through visiting to various places in Japan and  participating in a discussion session for four days.  
History Jordan is a single country that has participated in the program every year since 1994.

Selection Both the Higher Council and the Embassy of Japan in Jordan decide on members of the delegation.
Period Three weeks in July

The winners of the annual Japanese speech contest usually join the program.  The General Federation of Jordanian Women has started to send a member since 2004.

International Youth Development Exchange Program
(Japanese delegation to visit Jordan)
Outline It also started on the occasion of the Imperial marriage in 1994.  The youth goodwill mission visit many cities in Jordan to consolidate the friendly ties between Japan and Jordan.
History Jordan has received the Japanese mission almost every year since the program started.  The visits in 1999,2002, and 2003 were cancelled according to circumstances in the region.

Japan-Jordan Women's Exchange Program
Outline The program was initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal when the Princess visited Japan in October 1993.  The  farseeing vision bore fruit in 1996 where the first  delegation of five female leaders of the Jordanian society visited Japan and had a discussion with Japanese NGOs.  Both countries exchange a mission every year.  
History

It marked the 15th exchange with the visit of the Jordanian  delegation to Japan in February 2005.
The successful trial to deepen mutual understanding has expanded to Palestine and Egypt .

Program The General Federation and the Embassy of Japan in Jordan arrange an itinerary in Jordan.
Period The Japanese delegation visit Jordan in autumn and the Jordanians visit Japan in winter.

Outline It aims at offering an opportunity to the promising trade union leaders of the world for better understanding Japanese trade union movement in particular as well as Japanese society in general.

Outline An outstanding Jordanian student who studies Japanese language is invited to visit Japan for two weeks.

Japan - Middle East Student Conference       ....jump
Outline The conference was established to promote intercultural communication between Japan and the Middle East in 1993.  It has arranged  a conference every summer in Egypt, Syria, Israel and Palestine.  
History They visited Jordan in 2004 to arrange a conference in 2005.
