Four
young Japanese talented artists, the heirs to traditional music of
each instrument in
Japan
, will present a concert
“Infinite Echoes of Japanese Neo-trad Music” at the
Royal
Cultural
Center
on 8 September, where
they will introduce new creative music while carrying on the old
traditions of
Japan
.
The traditions of
Japan
lie in not only music
but also in other fields that are passed down century after century
from one generation to the next, where each generation creates new
elements to entertain audiences in the future.
The “Trad:ism”, guardians of the past and creators for the
future, will play tunes that sound both classic and modern to
Jordanians.

TAKAHASHI

Takahashi
is a young master of the Tsugaru Shamisen, which was developed in
the snow country of the main
land

Japan
.
His concerts adopted other stringed instruments which have
earned a reputation both in
Japan
and the world.
He performed in
Korea

France
,
Uzbekistan
and
Kazakhstan
in addition to taking
part in various activities in
Japan
.

YONAHA

Yonaha,
a 28 years old artist, has more than twenty years of professional
career in music. He is originally a singer and Sanshin player
of music of
Okinawa
, the
southernmost
island
of
Japan
.
However, his gift for music has not limited his activities to
the traditional music. He
collaborated with many pop musicians and made tour to Asian
countries,
USA
,
Uzbekistan
,
Kazakhstan
and
France
. |

Koushi
TSUKUDA
[Shakuhachi (End-blown flute and bamboo flute) |
|
Tsukuda
is an heir to his father, Shakuhachi master.
Although being a good hand at Shakuhachi needs a long period
of time, he became a master for both modern and classic Shakuhachi.
He participated in many cross cultural music groups and
performed in various countries that the total number of his
performances abroad reached more than 500. |

Uchisato won a prize in a folk song competition in
Okinawa
, the southernmost
island
of
Japan
which is described as a treasure island of music
and dances, at the age of twelve.
She was awarded in many competitions successively and won a
grand prize in a folk song festival as the youngest winner in its
history when she was eighteen years old.
Uchisato is one of the young female singers who have
attracted a great deal of public attention. |
