H.E. Mr. Amer Al-Khuzaie, Deputy Minister of Health of Republic of Iraq, presented  a certificate of appreciation to the Government of Japan at the Embassy of Japan in Jordan on the occasion of accomplishment of rehabilitation of ten general hospitals in Iraq.

• Japan completed the project of rehabilitation of and provision of equipment to Kadhmiya Hospital in Baghdad early June 2007.
• Accordingly Japan accomplished ten projects for rehabilitation of and provision of equipment to general hospitals in cities in Iraq, namely Baghdad, Nasiriyah, Samawah, Diwaniyah, Mosul, Duhuk, Kirkuk, Erbil, ,Emarah, and Kut.
• Ambassador Shigenobu Kato received the certificate on behalf of his government. The ceremony was attended by Director General of the Ministry of Health of Iraq, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Iraq Embassy in Jordan, representatives of the Japanese contractor, consultant, Japan International Cooperation System and JICA.
