Japan and Jordan hold the opening ceremony of the Third Country Training Program for Iraqis on "National Accounts and Statistics”

In collaboration with the Department of Statistics of Jordan to provide 20 Iraqi participants with an opportunity to upgrade and improve their knowledge. 

  

The Opening Ceremony of ‏‏“National Accounts and Statistics,” a training program for Iraqis, was held in Amman on June 27, 2005 as one of the many Japanese reconstruction assistances extended to Iraq . Attending the ceremony were His Excellency Dr. Hussein Shakhatreh, Director General Department of Statistics; and His Excellency Mr. Koichi Obata, the Ambassador of Japan to Jordan .

On its part and in cooperation with the Jordanian Government, the Japanese Government has implemented multiple courses of the “Third Country Training Programs for Iraq ” under which more than 200 people from Iraq have taken part in training courses of various fields. “The Third Country Training Program for Iraq ” aims at reconstructing war-torn Iraq . Moreover, the Japanese Government has so far implemented courses in different areas, such as Electricity, Statistics, Water Resources Management, Culture and Education.

‏‏“The Third Country Training Program for Iraq on National Accounts and Statistics” is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Statistics, inviting  20 Iraqi participants. The purpose of the training program is to provide the participants with an opportunity to upgrade and improve their knowledge and techniques in the field of National Accounts and Statistics in Iraq in order that the Iraqis will be capable of facilitating the process of the reconstruction of Iraq in the mentioned field by employing the acquired knowledge in their country.
