Internationally lauded Japanese pianist to perform in Kingdom

The concert, entitled “Moon, Water”, hold at three different locations, namely, Irbid, Little Petra, and the RCC, Amman. 

  

Under the patronage Her Excellency, Minister of Culture, Mrs. Asma Khader, the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan will hold a piano recital by young talented Japanese pianist Ms. Reiko Awazu.

The concert, entitled “Moon, Water”, will be held at three different locations in the Kingdom: Al Husun Cultural Center in Irbid on 28 June at
7:30pm , in front of the treasury in Petra on 30 June at 9:00pm and at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman on 2 July at 8:00pm .

His Excellency, Mr. Samir Naouri, Ambassador of Jordan to Japan , was charmed with the pianist wonderful performance in Tokyo and introduced her to the Ministry of Culture.

Ms. Awazu will perform six pieces by Chopin, Takemitsu, Beethoven and Liszt. During her stay in Jordan , she will tour several archaeological in the Kingdom such as Um Qais, Jerash and Petra and will visit historical sites in Amman .

Ms. Awazu’s visit to
Jordan is part of a tour that took her to Syria and will include a visit to Turkey and Poland . She has infatuated a countless number of audiences all over the world since her graduation from the University of Southern California . She has also participated in many international music festivals in the United States , Netherlands and Italy and won the Gold Medal at 28th “Giornate Musicali” International Piano Competition in 1993.
