This program is intended to offer outstanding students of Japanese language abroad the opportunity visit Japan and to deepen their knowledge of Japanese language, society, and culture for the purpose of further encouragement of their study.

Program period in Japan 15 days from Wednesday, 2 September,
to Wednesday 16 September 2009
Location and accommodations The Japan Foundation Japanese Language Institute, Kansai and other locations
Contents (1) Lectures on Japanese language and Japan
(2) Experience of Japanese culture
(3) Visit to cultural and historical sites
(4) Homestay
Expenses and Allowance (1) Economy class round-trip air ticket
(2) Airport tax and Foreign Travel Tax
(3) Accomodations
(4) Meals
(5) Overseas Travel Accident Insurance
(6) Tuition fees

Eligibility
Nationality Jordanian nationals only
Language level More than Level 3 in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test
(The Embassy will arrange a written exam for this program)
Profession Not Japanese language teachers at present or not supposed to be employed as Japanese language teachers
Age Between the ages of 18 and 54 as of April 1, 2009
Previous stay in Japan (1)Have not stayed in Japan for more than 7 days for the last five years
(2)Have not completed compulsory education of Japan
Another chance to visit Japan Are not scheduled to come to Japan except under this program

Last day for application
The second week of May 2009 Examination and Interview at the Embassy
June 2009 Screening at the Japan Foundation in Japan
July 2009 Final official acceptance
August 2009 Visa and air ticket are to be issued by the Embassy
September 2009 Visit to Japan
